Snow Skin Mooncakes: Asian Wisdom in Every Bite

🌕 A Hands-On Workshop : Snow Skin Mooncakes

Snow skin mooncakes, or Bīng pí yuè bǐng (冰皮月饼), are a beloved treat enjoyed year-round for their soft, mochi-like texture and delicate flavor. Unlike traditional baked mooncakes, these are made without an oven and served at room temperature — light, smooth, and gently sweet.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to make your own snow skin mooncakes from scratch.
You’ll experience each step — from mixing the dough to forming and decorating your mooncakes — with some parts demonstrated to ensure a smooth and enjoyable process.

We’ll guide you in preparing silky dough and a smooth lotus seed filling — an ingredient celebrated in yakuzen (薬膳, medicinal cuisine) for its benefits in supporting beauty and longevity.

You’ll also learn how to naturally color your mooncakes in soft, beautiful shades using only natural ingredients.

To complete the experience, we’ll enjoy our handmade creations together, served with a seasonal medicinal herbal tea, specially blended to support balance and nourishment during autumn.

Of course, you’ll also take home around 12 mooncakes, beautifully boxed — ready to share with loved ones or enjoy mindfully on your own.

Come for the experience — and leave with beautiful mooncakes, deeper knowledge, and meaningful skills to share.
